Ignacio Uranga
Ignacio is the founder and CEO of Black Pampa, bringing over 25 years of leadership experience in high-impact strategic projects across the public and private sectors. He is also Founder & CEO of Smartvision Latin America, a consultancy specialized in strategy and digital transformation for multinational companies. His earlier career includes serving as Advisor to the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers in Buenos Aires, Member of the City of Buenos Aires Innovation Cabinet, and CEO of Claxson Interactive Group in Brazil. He holds a degree in Business Administration, an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and executive studies at Singularity University.
Mariano Smith
Mariano brings more than thirty years of leadership experience across Latin America, building a distinguished career leading transformation and growth initiatives in global organizations. During over two decades at Unilever, he held senior roles including Managing Director and Vice President of Marketing, driving business strategy and talent development across multiple markets. As a coach, mentor, and international consultant, he combines strategic vision with a human-centered approach to leadership and culture. At Black Pampa, Mariano strengthens the firm’s presence in Mexico and fosters connections between talent and capital across regions.
Hillman Norberg
Based in the United States, Hillman leads Black Pampa’s expansion across the US and Canada, executing M&A and funding transactions that connect companies, investors, and strategic partners throughout the Americas and Europe. With an international career spanning North America, South America, and Europe, he combines cross-border trade expertise, market expansion advisory, and capital strategy, with particular focus on technology, cleantech, medtech, life sciences, and renewable energy. As Founder & Managing Director of Rockbilt Consulting and previously Trade Specialist at the Maine International Trade Center (MITC), he has advised companies and investors on international growth and multi-jurisdictional transactions across the USA–Canada corridor.
Claudio Battilana
With more than 30 years of experience in the service and mass-consumption sectors, Claudio has built a solid corporate career in the commercial field, combining strategic vision with hands-on execution. He currently serves as Board Member at Conectio SRL, Infusiones SA, and Madre Tierra LTDA, and is the founder of MARC, a firm providing strategic commercial advisory across multiple industries. Much of his career has been dedicated to developing international markets, leading business assessments and playing a key role in the acquisition of companies across diverse sectors. Claudio holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Católica Argentina.
Juan Negro
Based in Montevideo, Juan leads Black Pampa’s practice in Uruguay, bringing deep expertise in cleantech, decarbonization, and renewable energy, alongside business development, corporate strategy, and venture capital investing. He pairs an engineering background with an MBA from London Business School, combining technical depth with strategic and financial acumen. Active across the Southern Cone’s innovation ecosystem, he has led cross-border initiatives connecting startups, corporates, and investors in technology and sustainability. At Black Pampa, Juan advises founders and investors on M&A, capital raising, and high-impact transactions, with particular focus on the technology and energy-transition sectors.
Augusto Granados
Based in Miami, Augusto leads Black Pampa’s Corporate Governance and Legal Affairs practice, bringing a strong background in corporate law and governance. He is also a Partner at Granados Davey LLP, where he specializes in strategic legal management for international organizations. Earlier in his career, he served as Legal Counsel at Fox Latin American Channels, contributing to the development of the company’s legal and operational framework across the region. Augusto holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Illinois College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.
